MASERATI Produced by Gemini Pictures/Goldcroft Films LLP and Speed Channel 2003
I have just spent an hour watching a most entertaining and watchable DVD about the cars we love, Maseratis. It is presented by Alain de Cadanet, a man who drives and talks passionately about some of the truly wonderful cars that bear the legendary trident. |
|
Listen to the magnificent sound from inside and outside these magnificent machines. The soundtrack is truly amazing! Alain de Cadenet not only drives the cars but talks about them and their history. He opens the bonnets and shows you the engines describing them in detail. He even lifts open the boot of the 300S to illustrate the beautifully engineered fuel and oil tanks and on the 450S shows the transaxle gearbox. I can tell you that I felt quite elated after watching it and I am sure you will feel the same. |

Maserati 300S No. 3057 Produced by Orbis Enterprises 2001
A video CD mpg with two short films, musyrace.mpg (17 mins 49 secs) and nurburg.mpg (14 mins 57 secs). |
|
In 1955 Benoit Musy, Swiss champion, ordered a new Maserati 300S (chassis #3057) from the Maserati factory in Modena, Italy. Musy won several races with this car in Europe. After his death in 1956, the car was sold to the Angola Racing team. It was raced for a few years and then left neglected in Africa. More that three decades later, Stein Johnsen discovered the 300S and had it shipped to Norway. Following a two year rebuild at Church Green Engineering (England), Musy's ex-race car was brought back to factory specifications. Today, this marvellous historic race car is back on the track under the watchful eye of Martin Stretton Racing. |
