After lunch I was invited by Daniele to view his wonderful collection of Maserati memorablia and cars that included a comprehensive Maserati library, rare trophies awarded to Gigi Villoresi and Edoardo Govoni, numerous interesting press cuttings, a Barchetta and a Ghibli Open Cup.

We were so absorbed with Daniele's fine collection that we soon lost track of time for the day was still young and more goodies were in store. We raced back to rejoin the others for we were in for a rather special treat - a visit to the Maserati factory at 322 Viale Ciro Menotti, Modena.
