Oltre 30 vetture Maserati sono intervenute quest'anno al secondo raduno internazionale Maserati Biturbo e derivate, organizzato da Claudio Ivaldi di Alessandria, vice-segretario del Biturbo Club Italia, nell'autodromo nazionale di Monza durante la 54° Coppa Intereuropa-Historic racing festival. Il raduno era gratuito.

Gli equipaggi provenivano da tutto il nord-Italia, per la maggiorparte soci del Biturbo Club Italia e del club Alfieri Maserati 1914 di Milano, e dalla Germania con la presenza di 4 soci del Biturbo Club Deutschland.

Presenti Maserati Biturbos di tutte le versioni: Biturbo, Biturbo II, S, 420 S, Si, 222SR, 2.24v, 4.24v, Spyder, Racing, Ghibli MY94 e KS, Shamal, Quattroporte IV e 3200GTA. Presenti inoltre una storica Indy 4900 e una nuova Spyder Cambiocorsa.

I partecipanti sono arrivati tra le ore 9 e 10 all'autodromo, e si sono sistemati nello spazio riservato alle Maserati situato nell'area alberata della curva parabolica, dove il Biturbo Club Italia ha allestito uno stand con gazebo .

Dopodichè i partecipanti hanno potuto girare liberamente per il parco dell'autodromo per assistere dalle tribune alle gare storiche in pista e visitare la mostra scambio e i box e paddock .

Ogni partecipante ha potuto poi effettuare alcuni giri di pista in parata con la sua Maserati.

Per movimentare un po' la giornata Claudio ha ideato un gioco a quiz composto di 30 domande sulla storia, la tecnica , e le curiosità del mondo Maserati. Alcune domande erano assai difficili, così la vittoria è andata a Rossano Carrara con 12 errori, che ha vinto un modellino 1:18 di 3200GT. Tuttavia Claudio ha pensato di dare il premio più bello, il libro-catalogo "Nel segno del tridente" all'ultimo classificato, il sig. De Pascallis di Milano ( 26 errori su 30 domande, non era facile!!!) , che sicuramente ha bisogno più di tutti di studiare sul quel libro.

La manifestazione è finita alle ore 19.

This year over 30 Maseratis took part in the 2nd Maserati International Rally for Biturbos and their derivatives. The event, free to all participants, at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza for the 54th Coppa Intereuropa-Historic racing festival, was organised by Claudio Ivaldi from Alessandria, vice-secretary of the Biturbo Club Italia.

Teams from all over northern Italy made up on members form the Biturbo club Italia and The Club Alfieri Maserati 1914 from Milan were joined by four members from the Biturbo Club Deutschland.

Maserati Biturbos in many versions were present: Biturbo, Biturbo II, S, 420 S, Si, 222SR, 2.24v, 4.24v, Spyder, Racing, Ghibli MY94 and KS, Shamal, Quattroporte IV and 3200GTA. Also present was a classic Indy 4900 and a new Spyder Cambiocorsa.

Participants arrived at the circuit between 9 and 10 in the morning and parked in a space specially reserved for Maseratis in the wooded area close to the famous Curva Parabolica, where the Biturbo Club Italia had set up its marquee.

All participants were able to complete several laps around the circuit in convoy.

To help pass the time during the lunch break, Claudio organised a quiz consisting of 30 questions on the history and technical achievments and curiousities of the Maserati world. A few of the questions were deemed to be too difficult, so victory finally went to Rossano Carrara with only 12 errors. The winner being presented with a 1:18th scale model of the 3200GT. Claudio thought it best to give the nicest prize, a copy of "Nel segno del tridente" by Maurizio Tabucchi (known better as 'Maserati: The Grand Prix, Sports and GT cars model by model from 1926 to 2003') to the gentleman who came last. Sig. De Pascallis of Milan (with 26 errors in his 30 questions answered - it wasn't easy!!!), who surely needs to study the book in depth before next year's quiz!

Having all agreed that the meeting was a great success, it ended at 7:00 in the evening.
