From Marc in the USA

"Dear Enrico,

Thank you for providing such a great forum for Maseratistis.

Here is some news from the other side of the Big Pond. This past week-end the Rolex Vintage races were held at one of the loveliest race tracks in New England, Lime Rock. Maserati was well represented with several magnificent racers present on the track, especially a 1956 250F-R (see picture attached) and a 1957 300S.

An Italian car meet was also part of the event and present were a 1989 228 (the last of that kind sold in the USA), a Bora (? year) and a 1969 Ghibli SS (see picture). For anyone with a passion for vintage racing, this was the place to be this week-end as the races were thrilling (how often does one see a 250F roaring by?), the weather picture perfect and the array of cars superb.

Please keep up the great work you provide with your web-site.

Warmest regards,

Marc."

Price : best offer.

Condition is good but they have some small marks in the painting from stock (no cracks).

Please contact me via email.

Daniel."

From Jan in The Netherlands

"Hi Enrico,

Just bought myself a 1972 Maserati Mexico #AM112*972* (4.2-litre engine). I'm very proud of it of course!

A few questions: Can you point me some sources (books, websites etc.) where I can find more details about this car, when and where delivered, first owner, the original paint-name etc.?

I've seen you have giving answers like this to others, and I am curious about your sources of this information, for I cannot find any real details about this car.

Furthermore, the manual of the Mexico was gone. Do you have any links to an electronic (scanned) version of a Mexico manual of this period?

I would be very grateful if you or any other Mexico owner could help me any further with all this!

Attached a few pictures of the Mexico. It is in very good condition, only a few tiny bubbles on the lower side of the doors. Interior and engine are like new, 63,000 km.

Thanks!

Jan."

From The Goodwood Revival here in the UK

This is one event that I always look forward to. The superb cars and unique atmosphere has made it one of the most anticipated classic motor sport events on the calendar. Over 110,000 visitors made their way to West Sussex this year and, like me, would not have been disappointed!!
