From Robert in France

"Hi,

I bought a 1969 Maserati Mexico in Sweden, and forgot to check for a spare wheel/tire before buying it, of which there was none. Therefore, I need one. My Mexico has the original Borrani wire wheels, but it is not absolutely necessary to buy a wire wheel spare because it will remain the spare. Any wheel that fits will do. If you could point me to a spare wheel, I would appreciate it very much.

I have attached a couple of photos of the car.

Also, I have digitised the complete manual for the Mexico, including wiring diagrams. It is very handy, especially as one can separate the wiring circuits and thus making electrical troubleshooting much easier. If you want to post it to your site for the benefit of other Mexico owners; let me know. It is about 5MB in pdf format.

Best Regards,

Robert."

"First, Happy New Year Enrico!

We still fight with our Maser. Body is almost ready for painting. We sell remains of 3.5 litre engine in Germany.

3.7 litre machine is tested and adjusted and ready to put into chassis. Now we must clean up fuel tanks. We wait also for a Bosch injection pump with pressure adjuster.

Bring so bastardized car back to life is really huge task, but this give also a lot of pleasure (and big hole in wallet).

We will you inform steadily about restoration progress.

Best regards,

Pedas."

Regards and thanks again.

"Hi Enrico,

Just to show that Quattroportes can go skiing in the alps...

I have a request, a while ago I was able to print out the classic brochure in pdf format of the Quattroporte series 1 2. Now I cannot find it in your website anymore (the complete pages in pdf..).

Can you tell me if it is still somewhere available so I can print it again?

Thanks and keep on the good work,

Daniel from Paris."

"Daniel,

I think you probably downloaded the brochure from the official Maserati website.

Enrico."

From Alex in Switzerland

"Dear Enrico,

First of all, I hope you're doing well and have recovered. Best wishes for the new year!

Some news from Geneva, Switzerland.

The Mexico is back on the road! What a car!!!

I was so much used to seeing it in sad shape, "naked" and into a never-ending (2-year-long) restoration... Today, it was just striking. I was really amazed by the car while it came down on its wheels. It's a LOW and LARGE car! We had a nice sunny whether so we hurried to have the car out but messy clouds appeared as we were into taking photographs so...

Anyway, the car is nearly finished.

It just lacks its last exhaust part (ready for Tuesday).

+ Maserati Mexico logos (will fit them tomorrow) on the boot.

+ Top of dashboard that will have a brand new black simili cover.

Then it will directly go for servicing and general cleaning...

Now I'm really excited about hearing the throaty V8 singing again!

Some new pictures available here.

All the best,

Alex and Bahman."

From the beginning...

"I am often asked how Enrico's Maserati Pages got started, so I thought you might like to see my first efforts back in October 1999!

You will now understand why the Homepage has the phrase: "Any comments that are not too offensive will be greatly appreciated."

Enrico."

PS: I'd like to think things have improved since then!!!"
