"Ciao Enrico,

il raduno "Nelle Terre dei Fratelli Maserati" è andato alla grande.

Sono arrivate 73 Maserati da tutta Europa, di tutti i modelli, stradali e da competizione, e di tutte le epoche.

Il tempo era bello, anche troppo caldo.

Il raduno ha confermato l'ottima collaborazione tra i principali club italiani, Maserati Club Italia e Biturbo Club Italia. In più erano presenti anche alcuni soci del Club Alfieri Maserati 1914, del Maserati Club Schweiz, del Deutscher Maserati Club; inoltre sono venuti anche membri del forum italiano "RepartoCorse2", del forum francese "Maseratitude" e due clienti della concessionaria Maserati "Rossocorsa" di Milano.

Al raduno hanno partecipato ospiti illustri, come Giampaolo Dallara, Adolfo Orsi, Alfieri Maserati, Ermanno Cozza e la Dottoressa Roberta Bicocchi in rappresentanza di Maserati S.p.A.

Venerdì abbiamo girato in pista a Varano de' Melegari e poi visitato la Dallara Automobili, incontrando l'ing. Dallara. In seguito, tramite un percorso di strade appenniniche, abbiamo raggiunto il borgo medievale di Grazzano Visconti per un aperitivo a base di gnocco fritto e salumi.

Il sabato mattina, l'intera produzione Maserati dal 1957 ad oggi è stata esposta lungo le antiche mura di Piacenza: una specie di museo a cielo aperto. Avevamo davvero quasi tutti i modelli stradali.

Quindi ci siamo spostati a San Nicolò di Rottofreno, paese di origine della famiglia Maserati, e abbiamo parcheggiato le macchine in Piazza Fratelli Maserati.

Per il pranzo siamo stati in un vecchio mulino perfettamente restaurato.

Al pomeriggio ci siamo trasferiti a Voghera, città natale dei fratelli Maserati. Dopo una tappa alla casa natale, alla perfieria della città, ci siamo recati presso l'istituto tecnico "Alfieri Maserati", dove l'ing. Alfieri Maserati, figlio di Ernesto Maserati, ha tenuto una conferenza sui Fratelli Maserati. Al termine della conferenza la Dottoressa Bicocchi ha consegnato nelle mie mani il "premio del Centenario", un grande badge con il simbolo del centenario che la Maserati dà ai Maserati Club ufficiali che organizzano eventi a tema Centenario. La giornata si è chiusa con la cena presso il Castello di San Gaudenzio.

la domenica mattina siamo stati in pista al nuovo autodromo "Tazio Nuvolari" di Cervesina. In pista hanno girato, oltre ai vari modelli stradali, anche Maserati da competizione di tutte le epoche: una 250F, due 150 S, due 200 Si, una A6GCS/53, una Ghibli Open Cup, e due Coupè Trofeo, di cui una Light.

I'm delighted to report that our "In the Land of the Maserati Brothers" meeting has been a great success.

Seventy three Maseratis, models from all ages, both road and competition, and from across Europe came to join us.

The weather was beautiful, in fact perhaps a little too hot on occasions (especially for me as organizer) !!

The meeting confirmed the excellent cooperation that exists between the major Italian clubs, the Maserati Club Italia and Biturbo Club Italia. In addition there were also members from the Club Alfieri Maserati 1914, Maserati Club Schweiz and the Deutscher Maserati Club. We were also joined by several members from the Italian forum "RepartoCorse2," the French forum "Maseratitude" and two customers of the Maserati dealership in Milan, "Rossocorsa".

The rally was attended by such distinguished guests, as Ing. Giampaolo Dallara, Dott. Adolfo Orsi, Dott. Ing. Alfieri Maserati, Ermanno Cozza and Dott. Roberta Bicocchi on behalf of Maserati SpA.

The Friday morning was spent at the Varano de 'Melegari circuit, followed by a visit to Dallara Automobili and a meeting with Ing. Dallara. Then, following a pleasant drive along a procession of roads through the Apennine Hills, we reached the medieval village of Grazzano for an aperitif with gnocco fritti filled with Piacentine cured meat delicacies.

On Saturday morning, examples of Maserati's entire production from 1957 to the present day were displayed alongside the ancient walls of Piacenza, a kind of open-air museum. We had really nearly every road model on show.

Then we moved on to San Nicolò di Rottofreno, the country of origin of the Maserati family, and parked the cars in Piazza Fratelli Maserati.

Later we lunched in the beautiful gardens of an old, now fully restored, water mill.

In the afternoon we moved on to Voghera, birthplace of the Maserati brothers. After a brief stop at the birthplace on the outskirts of the city, we visited the "Alfieri Maserati" technical college, where Dott. Ing. Alfieri Maserati, son of Ernesto Maserati, gave a talk on the Maserati Brothers. At the end of the conference Dott. Bicocchi pesented me with the "premio del Centenario" (The Centennial Award), a large plaque of the anniversary symbol given by Maserati to Maserati Club officials who organize themed events during this centenary year. The day ended with a gala dinner at the Castello di San Gaudenzio.

Sunday morning we spent time on the track at the new "Tazio Nuvolari" circuit at Cervesina. At the circuit, as well as a number of road models, we had Maserati race cars from all ages: a 250F, two 150 S, with two 200 SI, a A6GCS/53, a Ghibli Open Cup, and two Trofeo Coupes, one of which was a Trofeo Light.
